Donating and Volunteering are the two best ways to help ensure the Tatum’s Garden Foundation is able to keep running Tatum’s Garden for the foreseeable future.
Donations can be made by clicking the Donate tab on the top right of every page. You can donate online, or mail a check. You can also make the Tatum’s Garden Foundation a part of your estate planning (details for all on the Donate page).
The Volunteer tab in the main menu allows you to be a part of our volunteer database, and you can also sign-up for specific cleaning days at Tatum’s Garden.
If you are interested in using some of your skills to benefit Tatum’s Garden, please do not hesitate to reach out to us on our Contact Us page (under the About tab). -
We are so glad you asked! Yes. The Tatum’s Garden Foundation hosts yearly fundraisers (check the event calendar on the Events tab) and has an end of year fundraising campaign.
If you are interested in making a donation, you can at any time using the Donation button on the top of each page, which also includes details on mailing donations and estate planning gifts. -
Tatum’s Treehouse is a collaboration between the Carmel Valley Community Youth Center and the Tatum’s Garden Foundation to bring accessible play to Carmel Valley near the Community Pool. To learn more, please visit the Tatum’s Treehouse website (under the Parks tab above).
The Tatum’s Garden Foundation is the fiscal management for donations to Tatum’s Treehouse. -
We open at 9am daily.

Tatum’s Garden closes 30 minutes after sunset daily.

Yes, Tatum’s Garden closes yearly during the Salinas Rodeo, as the park is located directly next to the rodeo. During this time the park undergoes its yearly deep cleaning and pressure washing.

Yes! Tatum’s Garden is a wonderful place to celebrate a birthday. However, we do NOT take reservations. It is a first-come, first-serve basis. As always, please do your part to help keep the park clean.

No. The city of Salinas leases the land for the park to the Tatum’s Garden Foundation (for a nominal fee). The Foundation was tasked with fundraising, building, and maintaining the park. The Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit that keeps the park running, provides security, cleans the park, and replaces equipment. We are able to do this all through the generous support of our community. If you are interested in helping Tatum’s Garden continue to be the crown jewel of our county please consider donating (by clicking the “Donate Now” button above) or by volunteering (by clicking the Volunteer tab above).

Yes. The Tatum’s Garden Foundation has partnered with Pony Baseball for many years on their Champion’s Day, where local Pony baseball players play a special baseball game with children and young adults of different abilities who normally do not get the experience of playing a baseball game.
